Careful Consideration Matthew 7: 13-14 NIV

Careful : making sure of avoiding potential danger, mishap, or harm; cautious.

Consider every aspect before making a decision

Give careful consideration to where you want to spend eternity

Consider the challenges in text : ‘enter through the narrow gate’ - Jesus is issuing a challenge they wouldn’t do ordinarily bc they are not walking in the correct manner ; hoping that they may get better

Issued a challenge to provoke them to live better ; narrow gate vs wide gate

Narrow gate : living right

i.e : old country road ; less popular and has more restrictions - living in spirit - long road  to LIFE ; WORD

Wide gate: living in sin , highway ; popular bc it has less restrictions - living in flesh , leads to destruction - highway to HELL ; WORLD

*MAKE SURE YOU GET IN THE RIGHT LANE - Consider the choice*

Stop making hasty decisions based on emotions

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways ; don’t be like the no gray challenge ; make a careful consideration to make a change on the inside

Be transformed in all your ways

Stand with the WORD , not the WORLD

The wages of sin is death (you will have to pay the cost for the wide gate) but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ      (Narrow gate may cost discipline but is prepaid , Jesus paid it all)

Make the right decision ; choose ye this day whom you’re going to serve

As for me and my household , we will serve the Lord

No man comes through the gate except by the son

God narrows it down to 2 choices ; which will you choose?
