Don’t Settle for safe 1 Kings 18:7-15

Carrying capacity- the maximum number of a species a environment can support indefinitely

 Obadiah was trying to figure out carrying capacity of Samaria.God tried to show Obadiah that his faith had a carrying capacity on it ; he figured out how to survive the drought but not end them.

Our faith has a carrying capacity ; after a certain limit we try to live life safe , even if that means living in a drough,. When you are living in a drought you only attract thirsty people ;people who are comfortable living in the drought.

Until you start exercising your faith you are no different than the nonbelievers ; makes your faith looks more like religion than relationship

 Obadiah was too comfortable living in the drought

 Step out of the drought (comfort zone )!

 Some people are hateful of you looking for water when they are too comfortable living in the drought ; they don’t understand why you cant just be thirsty too .You have to have faith that you can tap into the well.Don’t let the drought dictate your destiny  ; be willing to step over thirsty people to get to your well.

Who is the master over your life ? Tell your master ( fear , trust , depression, loneliness, etc) that your LORD is here so he can rid you of it. How can you know who the lord is and still have a master? A master that confines you at that , let go & let God. Obadiah must choose between his lord and his master , Obadiah needed to take off the capacity limits of his faith

 You have to have the faith to know there is water somewhere while everyone else is content in the drought

 Obadiah saw Elijah choosing him as punishment and not as positioning .Obadiah was chosen to disrupt the norm , but had to be willing to be changed in the process.You are being strategically placed so that you will have access. God created the drought to produce the thirst so he could get you in isolation and turn you into who you really are but you have to risk being vulnerable. You cant both know it all and surrender it all ,you have to be a blank canvas in this season , you cannot predict this outcome.

The first time they were looking for Elijah , the second time he came to them thats why you cant rush the process. You just need to be in the right place , at the right time and your blessings will appear.

God cant do a new thing if your holding on to the old thing

God is calling for you to take your faith off of cruise control

The only thing keeping the water from coming is what you believe , change your belief and the drought will end. God said if you would just change your thinking he will do above and beyond all you could ask or think! You can no longer afford to play it safe with your faith.If you drink from this water something will spring up inside of you and you will never be in drought again! The kind of water to break every generational curse.Declare over your life that the drought is over. Stop being comfortable in the drought , STEP OUT ON FAITH. Your faith has to put a down payment on your destiny.The moment Obadiah told Ahmed that Elijah was here ,the master SUBMITTED to the Lord.Tell your master , the Lord just showed up. Get rid of your carrying capacity as it relates to your faith.
